STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLIES

3504 — GEAR ASSY. STEERING - continued
IDENTIFICATION TAG A metal identification tag is attached to Ford-designed steering gear housings, beginning with the 1964 light-duty models, as shown in the illustration below. Ross-designed steering gears on medium-duty and heavy-duty models have a tag on the cover which gives the gear prefix and suffix, beginning December 1, 1966.
