SECTION 32

3280 — ROD ASSY. - FRONT WHEEL SPINDLE CONNECTING - For Model Application refer to Section 30, page 5

HOW TO FIND ROD SERVICE NUMBERS and DETAILS:

Locate the rod number shown on the Truck Specification List (T.S.L.) or the stamping shown on the tube of the rod assy.
(a) When the T.S.L. indicates "SFA” (see Front Axle), use the front axle assy. part number (3004 or 3005) to find the correct rod.
(b) Use the Cross-Reference Guide below to find the correct line number on the Component Chart (see Page 4).
If the T.S.L. number or the rod stamping number is not known;
(a)     Measure the length of the tube in the rod assy.
(b)     Determine the front axle capacity.
(c)     Refer to the Component Charts which lists rod service numbers in order by tube length and axle capacity. In some instances truck year or series are needed as additional aids.
