I have been considering making a 445 FE, what did you do to it to get that power?

what exhaust pipe size did you run?????? I am pricing a similar 445 from survival, I may go ahead and get the exhaust setup this fall, though it will be a while before I can order the engine.

Re: 445 Stroker Dyno results
Looks great, I should be able to fire my 445 next weekend. I can't wait, after I built my 489 FE, I fell in love with these FE strokers. Your 445 sure shouldn't disappoint!

What kind of money do you have invested for 353 hp? Seems like a lot of work/money for 353 hp. Is the trade off in weight? I have always heard FEs were light, weight wise.

Re: 445 Stroker Dyno results
'gotta keep in mind it's 353 RWHP..... and dyno results vary from machine to machine, ambient conditions, plus losses from parasitic drivetrain loss.

Re: 445 Stroker Dyno results
Yes you may be at 350 375 HP on a chassis dyno but look at the TQ you are putting down MY GOD man. Chevy guys would kill for numbers like that on an engine that weighs that much. FE's come across the scale at nearly the same as a SBC.

That is a relatively mild camshaft for a 445 ci motor.

Re: 445 Stroker Dyno results
Nice numbers! It's amazing what a stroker crank will do to those torque numbers. I have a built 428 with 338 hp and 383 tq at wheels. I soooo wish I would have went with one of those 4.25 Scat cranks.
1969 F100 428 with T19, 3.00 9inch 31 spline w/ Detroit Trutrac, '74 frame swap successful!
