That was all stock, still running a points distributor. Decent economy can be gotten with a small engine in these trucks. I know that for a fact. Don't let anybody tell you different. That is running no faster than 60-65 MPH on the interstate or in your case the Autobahn.
Really? 18 mpg? Cool! I did not calculate it more than once, but on the 400km trip when I picked it up it got like 13 to 14 mpg. But that was still with the old airfilter, old spark plugs and plug wires.
