It's fairly easy to get photos uploaded into your own Photo Album in the FORDification Photo Gallery. Simply follow this tutorial to get things set up:

1. First of all, you obviously have to sign up for an account. It doesn't matter if you're already a registered member of the FORDification forums, the Photo Gallery registration is completely separate. When you open the main Photo Gallery front page, you'll see a "Register" link at the top of the page. Click on that and follow the instructions to sign up for an account. If you ARE a current forum member, please register with the same username, to allow others to find your pictures easier. Make sure the e-mail address you use is valid, as a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the address you use. In that e-mail will be a link to click to activate your account.

2. After you've signed up, activated  your account and are logged into the Photo Gallery, find the link at the top of the page that says "Admin Mode" and click it. At the top of the page will now be three small buttons: "Create/order my albums", "Modify my albums" and "Profile". Go into your Profile first and fill in any of the fields there you wish to be visible to visitors, and hit "Apply Modifications.
   Next, click on the "Create/order my albums" button so you can set up a Photo Album. The window that pops up will show you a list of your albums, which obviously will be blank right now. Click the "New" button to create an album and name it.

3. Now click the "Upload File" in the links at the top of the page, which will bring up a page where you can click the "Browse" button to navigate to the image file(s) on your computer you want to upload. THE ONLY IMAGE FILES THAT WILL BE ACCEPTED INTO THE PHOTO GALLERIES ARE THOSE IN .JPG FORMAT, AND NO LARGER THAN 800 PIXELS WIDE! Attempting to load up any other type of file format or an image larger than 800 pixels in width will return a message stating the upload was unsuccessful. This is to keep the server space being used to a minimum, but I might be making adjustments to this in the future to allow uploading of .gif images. 4. It's suggested that you add Comments to your images to inform visitors to your album what's in the picture.

I currently have each album set to have a maximum quota of 1024 MB total. Therefore, taking the time to maximize your image quality settings in a photo editor (Photoshop, Paint Shop, etc.) to compress them will allow more images in your album. I can adjust the album size quota if I feel that's too restrictive, but at the present time I feel this is a good starting point.

Forum avatars (the little pictures shown immediately below your username in the forums) shouldn't be loaded into your Photo Album. I will host all forum avatars in a different spot so that it will not count against your quota. Avatars need to be no larger than 80 pixels by 80 pixels.
