Disc Brake Swap (complete load of pictures)

Post by mcarlson11 »

I am doing to disc brake swap with loads of pictures becuase they are needed for school. So I thought I would just make a full blown write up on how I did everything. The write up will come later, but here are some pictures. There are A LOT, so give it some loading time. And, no I am not done yet. Questions, comments, ask away!

Enjoy!

Great pictures....I look forward to reading about your experiences. But if I can offer a suggestion:

Those pics are freakin' HUGE! Your first picture, for example, is 2048px wide by 1536px tall, and is more than 1.3MB in size! Even though your HTML code says to only display the image 500px wide, the visitor to the page STILL has to download the entire 2048px image before their browser can shrink it down. Multiply that by 21....and you can see that your page is virtually out of the question for anyone not on high-speed internet. :(

I definitely think you should keep the large images because there's great detail there, but you need to resize a copy of each one down to 500px (or less...I size most of mine down to 150px wide for fastest downloading) and use that thumbnail to link to the full-size image. That way the page will load MUCH faster. Even with my high-speed cable hookup, it took several minutes to download everything. And having multiple people viewing that page is going to put a heck of a bandwidth strain on the server hosting your images and webpage.

Just a suggestion....keep up the good work!

That's more than I got, all I saw was a single, lonely little "0" in the upper left corner... :hmm:

I finished yesterday!!

Now I stop on a dime! And I can turn with ease now. I still need to go to an alignment shop however, its real squirrely on the road over 50 mph.
