Weight--Updated Fix with Pic's Sat.afternoon
Issuses with my drag link and radius arm.I don't seem to have the clearence for the drag link to go through radius arm and hook up to pitman. Frame has no weight(frame off restoration)on it right now---can this be causing my problem. I changed to disk(76)brakes on my 70---followed tutorial from here and interchanged the required parts. I'm stumped other than its a weight issue?

re: Weight
The fact that your truck stripped down shouldn't matter. Neither of my trucks right now have engines/transmissions in them, and the steering is hooked up on both. The only thing I can think of that might cause interference is the adjustment sleeve clamps. It's possible to have those positioned in such a way that they'll hit the radius arm as they pass through it.
Can you describe the "issues" a little better? What's happening and what have you tried?

re: Weight
First off in the tutorial--I re-used 70 radius arms and coil springs(didn't see anything about it). I have everything reinstalled and started to hook up drag link---the problem---its binding against top of radius arm as it go thruogh to hook up to the pitman arm. Almost as if the coil springs have the radius arm to far downwards"

re: Weight
This may be my Dumb mistake(newbie)for not labeling parts or overlooking the differance in the Ibeams, but I'll share because it may help someone else from making this mistake or maybe I overlooked something on this site that shares this Info.
Here's a Pic of my I beam--backwards
The next 2 are of my beams reinstalled the right way---there is a slight twist to the top of the beam where the Kpin joins it to the spindle---this needs to go to the rear of the truck --Who Knew
The next 2 pics just show that it was the correct fix in order to get the drag link and the rest of the steering linkage together
None of the assembly is permenatly attached--just together so I could make sure it worked. Go ahead beat me up if ya feel the need, but I learned alot and solved it on my own---so I'll share to help other(newbies)
from makin this mistake
