This is an example of a Ford Technical Service Bulletin (TSB). This particular example is Bulletin #22, dated August 4, 1972. This 8-page TSB also includes a 4-page Technical Service Information (TSI) insert, and the dealer was instructed to remove the TSI insert and store it in a different location. Most TSB's did include a TSI insert.

The TSB included information for the dealerships regarding important fixes to consumer-reported problems that were not safety-related, therefore not important enough to issue a vehicle recall. The TSI insert was simply tips and tricks, parts number changes, general service information, etc. for Ford service personnel.

The TSB's and TSI's often had different dates and issue numbers, although they were released together as a unit.
