rjewkes,

I actually have one waiting on me...forum member CathynKeith have given me a 69 F100 LWB with a running 390, 3 on the tree, factory air...I am completely amazed. It is humbling and beyond words for me to express. I am completely pumped about getting back in June and picking it up...

I installed my New headers today(well new to me old to the mustang they came out of shorties even length). :D

Once i figure it out i'll post the video i took of fire up just 15 minutes after their instal with no leaks on the first try.

Nopw unless the exhuast ports cross from side to side on a ford. Looks like i maybe a little too rich on the Passenger side bank.

You'll notice the smoke at first fire up. Not near as much as before though so maybe i just need to adjust the carb just a hair.

Also noticed a bit of a backfire through the exhuast so its definitely runnin' a little rich.

thinks they had a two for one sale on ebay awhile back. finally got around to installing them.

Next step is brakes freeze plugs getting the safety equip working and getting it past inspection and all legal.

to do this i'm reinstalling the signal stat sigflare 900 turn sig unit just wiring it all where it goes.

then i'll deal with getting it back to semi factory stock or as close as it comes with a 77 f250 cruise control column comes to it.

How much work involved in getting those white faces installed?

I'm debating as to whether I want to go with a round gauge panel from the bigger trucks, or clean up and paint my current one using these face plates.

I am glad to see that the stock bezel can be cut to make work. Glad to see the progress is going in the right direction. Congrats.

Paul, It took me about two minutes to clean the dirt off the old guage and once i found an empty spray bottle to put the water/soap sulution(helps them slide overtop of the needles without getting stuck)

about another 10-15 minutes. Geting them on and squared up. Then using a blow dryer set on low heat and slow fan. going back and forth.

so about an hours time at most following thier instructions. Probably takes another hour to make sure the guages if they got any water in them are dry enough to not fry when you turn the key on.

BigD, No cutting of the bezel these are vinal stickers that cover the original guages. Two of the pictures are of the cluster with the bezel removed.

I'm thinking of reopening the cluster and taping the white guages off so i can paint the needles either neon yellow or neon green.
