I'm impressed  . I really want to add the intake/carb setup to my truck, but I don't want to take it apart until it is time to go all the way. I do enjoy seeing your progress. Y'all are doing a very nice job.

The truck is done. Alot of you know I had a bit of a problem with the new engine, but I found out what the problem was. The best part was it was the machine shops fault. Anyways here are some pics of the new duels I got. They are 40 series flowmasters. I ran them behine the wheels because it looks like my dads stock exhaust on the 71. I didnt want to run them straight back or angled because alot of people have it that way. Here are some pics of the exhaust, and if you have never seen my truck here is a pic of it to.

Fantastic looking truck! Love the colors too.
I agree with running them out the sides instead of the back. Looks more like they belong for that era truck.
I ran mine out the sides too but in front of the wheels. I like the look, and its better for sharing the thump at red lights.

Looks good. I like the exhaust exiting behind the tires. :D

Yes in a couple of months we will be back on my dads truck. I think we started around the same time as keith, but he quickly passed us. Sharkdance, I came very close to running them in front of the wheels. I also like how that looks to. I like the colors on the truck but I think after I recover from the money I spent on the engine, I am going to repaint it the stock two tone green. The paint does not look bad, but it gives me a reason to not trust vehicles on just pics. Pictures can be deceiving.
