Article 1454 - Carburetor Altitude Calibration

TSB #96 - August 2, 1968
(All 1968 and 1969 Passenger and Light Truck Units)

Carburetor modifications to compensate for vehicle operation in areas of high altitude are not required or reimbursed through warranty on 1968 or 1969 units operated in the United States. Due to the lean carburetor calibrations associated with the current Federal exhaust emission regulations, the effect of high altitude is negligible and therefore no longer considered necessary.
