Inspect the following items during pre-delivery.
- 1. The fuel tube and clips from the fuel selector valve to the engine under the cab on 500-900 L-Series trucks with cylindrical or rectangular fuel tanks should be clipped as shown on Figures 12, 13, 14. Reduce the overall tube length as required after it has been secured. See page 23-10-13 of the 1970 Truck Shop Manual for recommended nylon fuel line connection.
2. The fuel tubes from the fuel tank selector valve to the right side fuel tank and to the engine may contact the left running board brace bracket at the rear of the cab on 500-900 L-Series trucks equipped with cylindrical or rectangular tanks.
Reposition the fuel tube elbow fittings at the fuel tank selector valve as required to eliminate the possibility of these tubes contacting the brace bracket.
3. The fuel tube from the left side fuel tank to the fuel tank selector valve may be too long on 800-900 L-Series trucks with cylindrical tanks.
If necessary, reduce the length of the fuel tube to 22-1/2 inches, also, reposition the fuel tube elbow fittings at the fuel tank selector valve to provide tube clearance at adjacent parts.
