The following article was scanned from the Spring 1967 issue of 'Ford Truck Times', and includes the following blurb just inside the front cover:

"...The pickup called Ranger II confronting you on the cover can also be classified in the range of "better ideas". In this case, the idea is bright enough to light up the future. By concentrating on the future, Ford engineers come up with ideas that improve the cars and trucks of today".
