Ford Songs

Post by Billybobjunky »

Hey guys, i'm indulging in a lil culturization and I wanna expand my library with some good Ford tunes. I found a whole bunch in tribute to the old T-bird (btw, I may get a '65 T-bird sport coupe with an original matching 428!) but are there more out there I need to know about. Lemme know bout all the good Ford songs yall know! Thanks!

I don't know any off-hand...Mebbe a couple of lines from a song....

Hank Williams 'Hey Good Lookin' has a line that says "I got an old Ford pickup and a two dollar bill"....

"...a girl,my Lord,in a flatbed Ford..." from the Eagles' 'Take It Easy'...

Perhaps an adaptation---Like Willy Nelson and Julio Iglasius singing "To all the Fords I've loved before"...

Or if somone is creative, they can write a blues song,...'My baby left me,I lost my job and I just can't afford a Ford'.....
This is the point...I'm....talking about everybody! I'm talking about form! I'm talking about content! I'm talking about interrelationships! I'm talking about God, the devil, hell, heaven!!!! Do you understand???? Finally!!!!

Just got back from a trip to Nashville

Current Favorite: Pass You By, Gillian Welsh

I've got an old V - 8, from the year I was born
Don't look like much, just a flat black Ford
But the engine's clean, I could paint her some day
But most of the time, I think I like her this way

Don't turn no heads, don't catch no eye
I'm just a wind on the road, gonna pass you by

And the number 1 song for those of us with 352 to 428 V8’s
Gonna Take my FE on a Mornin' Ride, Lee Greenwood
I used to think he was talking about his horse but now I know better.
69 F250, FE Specialties 410, CJ Valves, RPM Intake, Holley 4150,......10 Smiles per gallon
71 Clydesdale in many pieces; 302 roller motor waiting impatiently
