power steering pump pulley

Post by jimmy828 »

Adding power steering and looking for parts. I'm trying to locate a pump pulley stamped 6AA (C7AZ-3A733-E) I have the crank pulley (C8AE-6312-D) that is suppose to work with pump pulley # that is listed in this post, at least that is what my research tells me. Thanks

Old Skool here, (the dark side member parts monkey might be able to help you with finding the specific part number-I'd always argued the point with him that part numbers are mostly worthless to me as there is so...many of them that will interchange YET HAVE A DIFF PART NUMBER).

YOU'RE LOOKING FOR THE PULLEY THAT IS PRESSED ONTO THE PUMP CORRECT-OR THE WATER PUMP PS PULLEY?
WHAT ENGINE?

IF YOUR LOOKING FOR THE PUMP PULLEY YOU'RE PROB GONNA WANT TO CONSIDER A NEW ONE AS MANY ARE TRASHED WHEN THEY ARE PRESSED OFF OF THE OLD PUMPS. Try Green Sales or RedHead for a new one.

by my research, there is 3 different PS pulleys that will work with the crank pully that i have. PS pulleys are stamped 6AA, AC, AG. It has to be pressed on. I'm not running AC. I'll be running belt straight from crank to PS, not going over water pump. Hope this makes since.

I'm late getting back on site. Just saying thanks for the offer but i have a pulley laying around that is shaped like that but was not enough offset to it. was going to have to use to many spacers on bracket to make it work. After posting about pulley, i found one that would work (8SA)with less spacers.
