help with engine oil dipstick tube

Post by NC72crew »

does anyone have or know where to buy the dipstick tube for a 390. my truck is a 72 and I'm pretty sure its the original block. It pushes into the block right behind the oil filter adapter. mine is bent and kinked. seems like 70 and up will work but i cant find an original style on the web. I'm not sure if someone bent mine up because it has headers or what. :?

I have never seen one reproduced, your best bet is trying to find one at a junkyard, or use the parts wanted section. Here are some links to try to find one:

Lokar makes an FE dipstick and tube. They are flexible to work around obstructions like headers.
