Dealer installed A/C

Has anyone installed a dealer under dash Ac in there trucks.i have a 72 f250 and would like Ac and like the look. Does anyone have info and picdoing the work

Thank you for the reply but I was more interested in hooking one up.like wiring etc.why did you remove yours?

I found it to be "unsightly". I also wasn't sure if I could get it charged with freon that would work with it.

There is a lot of info on the website on working on a Factory AC unit, but I haven't seen much on the dealer installed units. Have you considered going with an aftermarket system such as Vintage Air? https://www.vintageair.com/ they have a nice looking system, that I would like to install when I get to that point on my build. Not a real priority here in Colorado. There are some excellent youtubes on installing the vintage air in an F100, the first one is part of a 4 or 5 part video from Autorestomod, and the other is 1 of 4 from Vintage Air, showing the install. You can see how they look towards the end of the videos. I think they look much nicer than an original, and you would have all new parts, and not have to worry about what refridgerant you would have to use.
