Neutral Safety Switch ? ? ?

Post by yellercat »

Got an issue with no crank when the truck is in park.
It does start if key is held to ignition and PRNDLE is moved thru the gears.
Had a similar issue with the 97' 7.3 dually and in that case the steering column was actually loose at the bottom of the column 2 bolts.
Question is this, is there a similar condition with the 70' F-100 s or should I look to the switch itself?
What other items may be at fault here? ?

There are two little nuts you can take loose to adjust the neutral safety switch. It is located way at the bottom of the steering column by the firewall. I would start with that. Sometimes they fall out of adjustment.
