3-Speed Ford Light Duty Tranny question...

Post by eyezuk »

While under my truck yesterday I noticed the rubber boot on my tranny is missing. Is this a big deal? Will debris get it in? Where can I find a replacement?

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

The only rubber boot that comes to mind is the clutch fork boot on the bellhousing. If that is missing I would replace it. It's a big hole and lots of crud, gravel, ect. could get in--

I'm not sure if the regular parts houses would have them, they might--but I am sure the specialty places like LMC or NPD would have them--probably called the clutch fork dust boot--
