Actual shift tube length

Post by Chrisnewing1 »

I have a 69 f100 302 3 speed column shift, manual steering. Everything I see on parts websites says the shift tube for this truck is 28.3. I have mine out and it measures 28.5? Any help or input would be nice.

The 28.3 is right. Actually it's 28-1/4". http://www.fordification.com/tech/steering-column.htm

Awesome. Good info thanks. I'm pretty certain the one from my truck is original but when I measured it its 28 1/2. Just confused me. I've already ordered one that's 28.3. So I guess I'll see.
