Seeking Quality Weatherstripping

Post by urchinhead »

It looks like Soffseal has discontinued their parts for Fords.

Dennis Carpenter has some good stuff, but no longer seems to carry the full line of parts for these trucks. I don’t see the “anti-rattle,” window kits listed anymore.

Any recommendations from someone who has purchased these parts relatively recently?

:pop: kinda wondering too. I had heard softseal was the way to go as well. I have used lmc ones in the past but don't necessarily want to loose my " shut door with a pinky" ability.

That's really strange because I just bought a pair of anti rattlers for my drivers door 2 weeks ago and now there's nothing listed for our trucks..........maybe try calling them......... :hmm:

I was able to speak with a Soffseal sales rep on the phone, after not receiving a return email.

They have a new website, and the Ford parts are not listed yet, but they still carry them. They have a new paper catalog coming in a week, and I am now on the mailing list.

So is Soffseal the preferred weather stripping for these old trucks?

Were you able to order via phone, or will we have to wait until the stuff is back on the website?

Have new (to me) window regulators to install and want to replace window weather stripping while I'm at it. Not interested in doing whole doors at this point, just want to get the windows (and maybe vent windows) while they are out.
