Starter bolt rounded

Post by jf100 »

The top bolt on the starter that hooks up to the transmission is rounded. I do not have one of the starter wrench. Does anyone know of a way to get it out so I can finsh my engine and tranny swap. Thank you for any help. I am new to this swapping out engine and tranny thing and running into all kinds of things.

1/4" tooling from in front of the motor mount. Drive whatever 6 point socket fits best onto it while turning to loosen.

Haven't used one like this before but have similar. Home depot sells this Your friend has shared a link to a Home Depot product they think you would be interested in seeing:

and your local parts store may have a set they loan out.
