Here's yesterday's lesson:

I bought a 1970 F250 this weekend and spent the day getting new wheels/tires. Yes, American Racing (and all the posts on this site and the other, less desireable site) suggested 16s.

So I bought a set of 16 inch Baja alloys and they DO NOT FIT on the front. Why? The front brakes had been converted to power discs from (the previous owner claims) an F350. Big, fat Wagner calipers, which hit the inside of the wheel.

They also checked the application chart for F350, and got the wheel number.

I had the tire shop order the same wheel in a 17 and it will arrive Friday. But it's $45 more per wheel and about the same for the tires...ouch.

Yeah but one way or the other I sure like when it seems like good luck.
