Calling on the Fordification Army!

Post by Redcap »

I'm posting this from the shop while on lunch, so my time is pretty limited. My truck was string-straight and aside from a couple minor dings and a little bubbling in the usual areas, pretty damn good looking, in my humble opinion.

Could some of y'all find good examples of bumpsides and what they are selling for, then please post the links here? I need some ammunition for when the insurance adjuster tries to low-ball me!

Redcap, for starters,I'd click on NADA and get their pricing....It's as an official guide as any,and truthfully,if I could actually sell my truck for what nada says it's worth,it would be outta here quicker than a bum in a French restaurant.. I looked up 1967 longbed and added no options to the search...Results were:

Low retail........$7625

Avg. retail....$12,300

High retail......$16,200

Now,that's what I'm talking about :$$: :$$: :$$:

I don't think you could get any better ammo than that....
This is the point...I'm....talking about everybody! I'm talking about form! I'm talking about content! I'm talking about interrelationships! I'm talking about God, the devil, hell, heaven!!!! Do you understand???? Finally!!!!

I have no idea where NADA gets their values from, but they do seem to be way out there...Every so often, some dreamer on eBay will be selling something and quote NADA price guides and be willing to let their broken-down motor-less rustbucket go for "less than low retail"...But hey,for trying to get as much $$ as you can from the other guy's insurance company, those price guides can be your best friend...

I'd say get the adjuster to agree to middle NADA Pricing and if nada says 12,500 mid range then have some witnessess as to the agreement such as your agent and a lawyer.

then snatch another one for 950 or so pay some billsd buy some tools and parts and do your full body off rebuild.
