Hub Caps

Post by hmills »

Does anyone know if these caps are original equipment? The 1971 F100 Sport Custom I just purchased came with 4 of them. Does anyone have a picture of original equipment hubcaps for this model and year? HMills

Whoops! Sorry guys....some time back I posted the page, looking for input on the contents of it to verify what I had listed, and hadn't added it to the Site Index yet. However, I just went ahead and added it there, as another 'Under Construction' page...here you go:

I have the dog dish style. No wonder dogs seem to like my wheels.

Keith, those wheels you show for '61-'65, aren't those the same for earlier yr. Ford trucks too? I thought they went back another 10 yrs. or so. Just curious.

That's entirely possible. I'm definitely not up on what was available on earlier trucks, and in fact that graphic was one I found online and saved, so it's very possible it's not all-inclusive.

Hub Caps

Good foto "71-F-250SC-72-F-250C" similar to mine.

From Keith's hubcap identification page it looks like mine are the dog dish style PN: C7TA-1130-G although mine are not painted like the one in Keith's photo.

Thanks Keith for the link and all the posts from the rest of the gang.

Great forum!

Those are the exact type on my 1968 f100. My grandfather bought the truck new, so I know this is original to the truck. It appears yours have been painted. Check my pic, sorry not up close.

They should be painted. The paint on yours has just worn off.

I've seen them in stainless and painted. Here's one of an original set I pulled from a 71 parts truck.
