Rearend Work / Flex-O-Matic Poly Bushings

Post by Thundercat6870 »

Working on the latest 68 F-100 I just bought. I started on the rear frame and suspension. Modified some poly bump-stops to fit the Flex-O-Matic bracket. I put a good film of poly grease between the bushing and the V-8 springs.

I'll probably have to trim a little more off depending where it sits after I load it.

Looks good man.

Is your frame painted or powder coated?

I took the bed off first to make it easier and took everything off the frame including the rearend. The I went to Lowes and got some new rustolium paint that your supposed to be able to paint right over rust and it prevents rust from coming back. I wire brushed the rust off anyway to make it look smooth before I painted it. After that dried flat for 24HRS like the can said I painted some regular gloss over it.
