69 F350 Crew Cab

Post by maddogjohnson »

Not mine, but I came across this ebay listing this evening.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-For ... bbb9#v4-41

460, Auto, power steering, disc brakes, dual tow hitches. Original black California plates, AC (needs charging).

Not positive what year the bed is 50's? Slap a proper bed on it and away you go.

Does that mean this is a factory bed for a 69? If so, I was unaware that this was an option.

That truck has been for sale quite a few times over the past year. The truck actually was owned at one time by the previous owner of my crew cab. He had 2 white 69 F350 crews, both with service beds on them for his electrician company. He sold that truck about 15 years ago and the bed was swapped out. I then bought my crew from him last year. Anyway, that truck has been on this site several times when people have posted links to it for sale. The last several times that truck has been for sale, it has not sold, but the owner has been asking too much for it each time. I remember him asking over $3000 for it last time. He has tried ebay and craigslist both several times. It is still for sale in Altadena which is where it has been listed every time before, so I would assume it is still the same owner trying to sell it.

The truck is not a bad truck, except for the ugly bed that was put on it. Its got a few rust issues on the roof and drip rail, but nothing that cant be fixed. If someone just dropped a styleside long bed on it like I did with mine, then that truck would be a sweet truck and worth restoring. This is currently the cheapest I have seen that truck listed for so far.
