Running lights on a '69

Post by TMcGreal »

Question: I noticed the turn signal/parking lights are not lit when the headlights are on, ('69 Ranger) yet they work in the 'parking light' position. Is that correct? I thought the parking lights would be on while the headlights were on. Any expertise would be appreciated.

I know that the 70-72's parking lights run with the headlights...maybe that was a safety upgrade...

Yup, I think after '69 they switch all vehicles to all lights on with headlights.

My '67 and '69 F100's lose parking lights with headlights.
My '64 Galaxie's and also my '59 Mack truck do the same.

If you want the park lights to stay on when the headlights come on, read the info in this thread:

Thanks for the tip...I'm relatively new to the forum and didn't know this topic had covered.

Thanks again!
