Would it be possible to post a pic of the horn ring? It looks really cool!

Sure. Sorry it's kind of grubby right now. I need a stiffer spring behind it because it honks irslf if I hit a bump or slam the door. My top horn contact is one I made because I didn't have enough. I used a piece of a brass screw and a ball point pen spring. But it just looks so cool I hate to go back to the small cap.

Thanks again for the info willowbilly3. I bought it and it is on its way. I can cut the handle and weld it up custom short(er)!

I wonder if a Tbird or Galaxie horn ring would fit?? Have to pull mine off and compare with my galaxie.

I know I had to UNHOOK my horn since the spring is so weak that a good bump would sound the horn!! AUGH! I have since constructed a switch to make it like my Mack truck(hangs above window). It's a chain pull set up.

I would like to find a NON horn ring style horn center for mine. Guess it doesn't really matter since it's not hooked up...but I always hated horn rings!!!! (stylish as they are...they are a pain if you try to steer too quick...you always hit them! )

For the record, the Warner trailer brake has no connection to the foor brake, it is just a manual lever and you always have to pull it to apply brakes.

Freightrain, my horn honks when I hit bumps or slam the door too hard, kind of annoying. I have got used to the inconvenience. And normally I don't put up with stuff just for looks, but since the horn ring was a gracious gift and it does look right smart, I decided to get used to it.

Yeah, the white steering wheel and the delux horn ring really sets off the cockpit. But my rattlecan paint is wearing off and the whell is always glack from my grubby mitts. I have a light brown pleather wrap I am thinking about putting on.

That's even better! Two wire hookup and I'm ready to tow ... and brake. I could have gotten the wife to build one (electronics degree) but I wouldn't have gotten the nifty deco look!

Controller arrived today! It is clean inside and the test meter says it is working across the board! It even came with a hose clamp to lash it to the column ... Thanks once again willowbilly3!

Great!! It's funny that so many people do not have trailer brakes. They are a $100 option on the light duty tandems and most people don't pay the extra. I have had lots of men surpeised to see my slide the tires. "You have trailer brakes on that old truck?"
Darn glad I did coming off the mountains down into Denver with the 96 F-150 on the trailer.
