Post by ezernut9mm »

caution, heavy metal ahead...

ok, so i was just turned on to these guys and i must say, i wonder where either i have been the last few years or where have they been? i love this stuff. at 41 years old it is getting hard to keep up with all the good new stuff. (and yes, that is a ford truck at the start of the vid).

Volbeat is a Danish band has been big in Europe but are just starting to get known in the USA. A big part is that Metallica really took to these guys and put them on every tour they have had in Europe for the past few years. I recently got turned on to Volbeat as well and the mix of Hard Rock and Rockabilly that they have is really awesome.

I hope they are going to get big over here in the US as they definately deserve it and have a sound that is truly all their own. They have 3 or 4 CDs now... Every single one of them is great, so definately check them out if you get the chance.

There are a lot of videos on YouTube if you just seach for the band name.. Great stuff.

Here are a few more songs/videos of the band. First 2 are videos, 2nd two are just the music. They just do a great job of taking the feeling that 50's rock and roll gave and giving it a modern twist.

Not sure about walk-in stores, but you can buy all 3 of their CD's on Amazon.com. They are also on iTunes.

Re: volbeat (anyone want concer tickets)

Post by Kings1955 »

Hey! Enjoyed your discussion on Volbeat. They're one of my favorite bands. In any case, I noticed one of you is from Palmdale, as am I.
My husband and his buddies have 6 tickets to the Volbeat concert at the House of Blues in Anaheim this Friday, 8/27. They're stuck fighting a fire in Lebec and now cannot go.
If you're in the area and want to buy the some or all of the tickets at a deep discount, let me know! Heard they're amazing live!

Bummed we can't go now.

hit me up at kristin.stout@lmco.com if you're interested.
