Patrick's first Vehicle is a 67 F100

Post by asapatrick »

Thank you for putting this site together. My 16 year old son Patrick is the second owner of this very nice 1967 Custom Cab. It will take us some time to learn how to use all the resources available on here, but again, thank you. Image

Howdy, welcome and are you sure you want your son to have a 1967? Do a forum search about the Curse of the 67.

Dang that's a sharp looking '67!

What's with the little round reflector on the lower front fender and looks like at the rear also? I haven't seen that before (unless it's not a factory item).

The little round things are running lights. Front ones are amber, back ones are red. I have no idea if they are factory. I do remember when I was a kid ( now 47 yrs old), my grand father hand a Ford pick up that had them. I am unsure of the year of his truck. Also the previous owner had been a truck driver and is accessorized in much the way my truck driving grandfather did his. Note the cab lights, and across the back bumper there is a row of red running lights, mud flaps behind all four wheels and several other things.

Truck does need the rear end replaced, and I can't yet get it to idle with out using the manual choke yet....but all in all a great first vehicle for $1000.00. The kind of first car you can keep your whole life.

Is that image reversed? Or are your filler necks really on the passenger side?

That is a beautiful truck. Thanks for the picture. My first 67 was a baby blue with the white grille. It looks like the trucker previous owner added some auxilary fuel tanks as well as the lights. 67 Camper Specials came with a different add on side marker light.

:wel: to the site !! That is a clean old truck for sure.

The side markers look very MoPar'ish circa 1968. "Eye of Nader" as they were called
