new neighbors and a highboy

Post by ezernut9mm »

well, the new neighbor doesn't own it, but it showed up to move her in. my wife asked if i was going over to introduce myself and look at the truck. i told her i would as soon as they had most of the heavy stuff unloaded. lol
anyways, here it is. supposedly a 428. sounded good though. very rusty and dented to hell on the passenger side.

Don't think i'd care for a non dented/ non rusted Highboy, except a crew or brand spanking new.

For shame, nothing on that truck screams parts truck man.

Stout looking old Ford, but its a rust bucket. I bet the cabmounts/floorpans are MIA.

That being said, I would take it in a heartbeat

Don't get me wrong I'd just use those parts to get my highboy dail drivable then I'd swap in a different front dif make the rest a mud rig!

it's hurtin' pretty bad for sure. most of the trim looks savable, but there is not one good body panel on the truck. i have seen rusty trucks around here too, but i have never seen bed seems that bad. and the cab is suffering from all the ailments at once. drip rail rust, mount rust, the passenger side is crushed in at the b pillar, floors are gone etc.
still, it sounded good and the tires are worn well which is a good sign of proper alignment.

Yeah Ez that one is about the same shape as that 69 highboy I bought a month or so ago. I'm thinkin I might just swap my 67 body onto that frame. Not a full resto just bolt it together and drive it.
