Post by tam95ag »

let me give this a try and see if I can get some pics to post.
I've been on this project for about 2 years. this should be the frame after painting.

This web site was one of the best tools I had in getting it done. What would we do without the info you can get from the internet these days?

Your truck is coming along nicely. I wish I could do a complete frame off resto to mine...

You should post links using the [IMG] code link on your photobucket. I makes the pictures show up here(no clicking a link to view).

Nice ride. Maybe mine will be that nice some day. Could you do me a favor? Could you measure your driveshaft and pm me the dimensions some time. I am going to a slip yoke style trans like is in yours instead of fixed like i got. I need to know the measurement of a driveshaft for one in a swb. Thanks in advance. Need length from front of front u joint cap to rear of rear u joint cap. Thanks.

Very nice job indeed! Two questions though:
Is you bed mounted spare tire carrier on the wrong side of the bed? (Seemed like I always seen them mounted on the driver's side).

What transmission is that please?

well, as far as the spare tire carrier - it was always in the current location as far as I know. this truck has been in the family as far back as I remember so I don't think it was moved or anything.

the tranny is an FMX. The truck had a 3 speed originally but my grandfather changed it to an auto after he bought the truck. I don't think my grandmother ever learned to drive the standard.

oh yea............. the mustang might be my next project.
