what is this part near the starter solenoid?

Post by oldhalftons »

I know this would be easier with pictures, but here goes.

what is the electrical part on the drivers fender between the battery and the solenoid. It's not wired between the battery and the solenoid, its on another small wiring harness. Its about 1½" x ¾" and has a metal top. I can make out "autolite" but no part#.

Is it a relay or something else?

truck is a 69 F100 2wd

I believe you are describing the horn relay.
Is this it?

Is all this on the pass inner fender or drivers inner fender.

Its more then likely the horn relay.
