Wow that's a good idea i never thought of doing what you did. Having a pickup camper on a home-made trailer, then fill the bottom sides with toolboxes, or storage.
I'll steal that idea from you one day... when i have room and all :D

Teardrop,s are COOL but I would hate to take it out and hurt it.here is mine hooked up to the "filthy beast" ready for roadtrip. The trailer's track is same width as truck's so it off roads well, but have not been on a extreme trail yet..we will see.

I had an old Alaskan years ago. Was a pretty cool camper. Later got a 20' bumper pull, it had an excellent layout, but got tired of taking 2 vehicles to the lake. 1 for pulling the boat, one for the camper. Traded the bumper pull in for an 11ft Lance overhead, but sold it last spring so I'm camperless. I don't mind staying in a tent at the lake during summer months, but deer and elk camp are way too cold for tents anymore. Will have to get something else before next fall.

What I have seen before down here is some guys take those campers that cover the top of the cab for 1/2 and 3/4 tons and they build a trailer out of an old truck frame and bed strap it down to that and tow it behind there SUV'S or lighter trucks like Tundra's that cant hold them. I have even seen it done on a 80's style truck. I asked the guy why he didnt put it in the bed his reply was
I want the bed to haul around camping equipment.
Its pruddy funny looking but hey its EP Texas.

I'd like to eventually install a hard cover and a rooftop tent on top of it on my old Bantam(Think Willys) 1/4 ton trailer.

I have a 11ft Bigfoot Camper I haul on my 97 F350 PSD for camping in the dunes with quads or the woods with jeeps..Image
