Boy you are going to be up for a real good wake up call when coming into this business,, We run NC"S Ford Truck Salvage yard and here whats involved, Need a Good Roll back or Car Hauler, then have covered insurance to haul wrecks, then you need a yard wrecker, then isurance on the yard,, buying late models means many insurance auctions + dealers liscense and after you buy them from the auction you still have your dealers fee, loading fee to the gate, extra loading fee to the truck internet fee and so on which takes time, Oh by the way that HI-Tech interchange or computer system it is in the thousands ++ having extra time to moniter it, then be up on all new vehicles since some are 1 year parts only or even in same year say a 4.6's Both are 4.6's but 2 different motor and nothing will interchange between the 2 , here is how say today started 6:00 AM, pulled a 390 out, then pulled a cab off pressured wash to be sure no cancer, then moved 2 trucks so Kathy can cut grass under and got some rears off the ground besides answering the phone before I knew it it was 6:00 PM , Sundays chores are finish washing cab, unload car hauler to put a cab on a frame to take to the show, pull 61-64 core support off, make sure yard looks good since County inspector coming by to be sure fence, gates etc. are all still intact, fire ext. in place etc.. and then take care of Ups shipments on Monday,, there is plenty of times we work here 18 hour days cause if you don't do it yourself will not get done or done the right way and this has not even touched into the paperwork end and if you have a website then you have to do that also unless you have a big bank roll to pay extra people to all this plan on basically 365 a day work schedule,,, so its a lot harder than anybody can imagine only time we get off is saturday nite and vacations is something you get when you work for somebody else,, Just our :2cents: in our life Good Luck and look at it in a positive manner
