I've kinda lapsed in stumping you guys with Truck Trivia, so I'm going to try to get this going again...at least once a week.

For this one, I can't give any clues without giving it away. Just identify these screws....where they're used (and give the specific application). Good luck!

They look like the same size and length as the ones that mounted the oil cooler to the rad support on the '71 CS I dismantled.
If so, they were a bugger to get out.

vent window screws hold the vent window frame to the front of the door.and there are three and they are a bugger to get out. there is a forth screw in the door pannel but it is a trim screw.

:woohoo: I got one! :D

What made me guess that way was mainly the look of the oily buildup on them. That told me they were probably internal and there aren't very many screws on the inside of an engine. So I was thinking the cam plate or maybe oil pump related, but IIRC the oil pumps are assembled with bolts too. And the cam plate uses those screws because bolts interfere with the sprocket. (I learned that last part. )

maybe a dumb question now that I know what they are...

Where are they located?
I don't recall ever seeing that piece on my truck...
Are they behind the cam gear, behind the timing cover?
If that's the case... I ain't never seen them screws b-4

This is the view after removing the timing cover, and then the timing gears/chain.
