OK, here's another clip. IIRC there is only one item on any bumpside truck that uses this clip, but it's not found on all bumpsides. What's it for?

One guess per person per day (like it'll last that long!) ;)

I think fordman hit it. Door panel trim clip. (70-72?) But not for the plain steel door panels.

Headliner trim my crew has 1 on each side. :D

i know i wont get this one, but it's got to be some sort of interior trim clip. i have taken several off cc slick cabs, but bumps don't have the dash trim-do they?

I think it is for the dash trim around the glovebox. I just removed the trim from a friends wrecked 71' RangerXLT

Yes, the clip pictured above is one of about a dozen or so that hold the dash perimeter trim.
