F250 frame vs F100 frame

Post by snake »

Are there any differences between the F100 and F250 frames?? Are the rear spring perches in the same locations?

Thanks

I believe all the dimensions are the same and the drivelines are interchangeable. The metal on the F250 frame is thicker. Structurally that makes the truck stiffer and does not flex as much as an F100. The F250 frame weighs more and should be able to handle a heavier load. The F100 frame appears to be able to handle just about everything you could want and probably is a case of overengineering. Although some have bent the frames which is a case of just too heavy a load or other abuse. Check out this thread and there are several others about the frames.
