Changing Lug Pattern Size

Post by njdestruction »

Hey i have a '97 Ranger with a small lug pattern and i want to put on a set of f-150 tires with a larger lug pattern. Im not sure if there is an adapter kit or if i need new rotars or axles, ect.

If anyone could help i would sure appreciate it. Thanks.

there probably an adapter out there somewhere. check with a good tire shop. they might be able to find them if you can't or just go get the wheels you want that will fit your 97.

When I worked as a machinist, we made adapters to fit different wheel sizes quite often. Any good machine shop ought to be able to do it, but be aware this places greater than normal loads on the rest of the suspension. I'm not sure just how much greater, but I have seen it mentioned in other threads here a few times. Just something to be aware of, I think the guy I worked for charged $110 apiece for the adapters (they're labor intensive).
