Mike,

I too have been gone awhile, and have thought of Alan in the past few days since I've been back, and wondered why I hadn't seen him post.
The day you posted this information was my birthday, and I knew there was something else in the world just not right...
It has brought a tear to my eyes for sure man. My condolences to you and your family. Alan seemed to me to be the kindest / gentlest and most honest person you could find nowadays.
His smile would always bring a smile to my face, especially when I'd see his pictures of the "Middle Ages" attire and those events he attended.
He will be truly missed here, but I know he is in a much better place than we are. Image

I saved that picture too. It sure is weird to see his posts and know that there will be no more of them. I guess he will be immortalized here, among his friends, at Fordification.

Losing a family member is one of the most empty-hearted and dreadful things to experience. Being assured that he knew the good Lord is a great relief. My deepest respects.

Mike,

I've been gone awhile and was unaware of your brother's passing. I wish to express my sympathy for your loss. Alan and I had several good online conversations his school bus. He was always fun to talk to and will be missed here on the site.

Mike,

I found this earlier today "flipping" through the "Who's-Who" thread here on the site.
The first picture is my favorite, I had to go out and get my own sign once I saw his avatar and the picture of he and the sign!

Hey Jeff and Tony,

I copied the photo to my web server to preserve it, in case WebShots ever closes up shop. I'd be happy to archive the photo in its original resolution too, but I don't have access to that. Only accounts on his list of WebShots Friends can access it, it seems.

TheeMC,

I'm sorry for my delayed response on this. I've not had much time for the forums lately due to other things going on in my life. However, please accept my deepest condolences to you and your family in the loss of your brother. I know it must be a difficult time for your family right now. The "kaptn" was always very friendly and helpful to me here, and I always appreciated his advice and hearing of his trevails on getting his truck together. I know he loved working on his truck, as well as what I called his "middle ages stuff", so I'm glad he had something in his life that provided him joy.

Anyhow, thank you for letting us know what happened, as it serves as a reminder to all of us that our time here is fleeting. I'm glad that Allan was right with the Lord, and that he has most assuringly been accepted into the Kingdom of Heaven. May he rest in peace.

Best,

TheeMC,

I too have been away from the forum for a while and am very sorry for your loss. If there is ever anything we (or I) can do, please just say the word and we'll do what we can. It seems like his path in life was a good one, atleast at the end (not sure about the beginning, I wasn't around) and I'm sure the good Lord above will shine his Light on his Loves Ones in this time of need. May God rest his soul and ebmrace his spirit.

Take care and stay safe,

WOW, I've been away from the board for about 4 months, its been crazy for me, decided to pop on and see what everyone is up to, and I find out that our dear Kaptn has moved on to a better place. He was always a gracious and caring person and definitely someone I would look forward to reading posts from. May he rest peacefully and live on in our hearts and memories! Godspeed Kaptn, Godspeed.

Allan and I had F500's in common--He was a good man and had a great sense of humor. My prayers are with you and your family--he will sorely be missed.
