Re: headlight harness upgrade thread update
Steve, I think what Andy is trying to get at is the lack of action from Mods or the Admin on this site.... which to me says a lot
we have a problem, somebody needs to step up and do something! I can tell you before i called the fife pd i was worried that something bad happen to paul. now not so much.
as near as i can figure he has over 800 dollars from us and we can not get him to respond 9 sales @ 65 bucks and 1 sale (that i know of on slick60s) and another 170+ on the raffle.
it is a shame that im not getting much of a reaction from here.
i might want to add i sent a link to this thread (and all the others linked to this) to my local detective i am sure they are tracking it.

I don't think the moderator can do much for you. The issue is between the buyer and the seller. What action do you expect from the moderator? I suppose one could ban Paul, but that wouldn't help you any. I feel for you guys who lost your money. Obviously somebody who had done the right thing for many years does not anymore.
However, comments like these will not win any friendship or garner much support for you or your cause.
"Where did some of you guys lose your balls. You can't even support a new member who has
been burned without telling him, oh Paul is such a great guy. WTF...are you a bunch of
apologists incapable of facing reality."
Or
"From this point on, either help Bill W or keep your namby pamby bs to yourselves..
I was very happy here, withstanding Paul's deal. But, now, I am really disgusted by some of
your attitudes..."

I think Andy is frustrated by all of this. i have come to the conclusion that i may never see a harness or my money, but! for now i am going to keep the fire under Paul untill the end.
if it takes a year, so be it.

Wow AndyMan...
I really don't see ANYONE on this site defending Paul. I mearly see surprise from members that have been around him for a long time that he could do something like this and that they find it hard to believe this could be true. That is a huge difference from someone defending him or appologizing for him. The only appologies that I see are from the people that actually endorsed him initially as a trustworthy seller, and that was because prior to this, he had been. Whatever situation Jamie posted about, I have no knowledge about. And it appears that other here don't either, so you might want to figure out what that was from Jamie in more detail and stop throwing stones at everyone else. Obviously others like myself, Fordman, and a few others that piped in have no clue about what that situation was. Its not like there is some conspiracy here to keep other members in the dark.
As far as attitudes go, you might want to re-read what you posted and then take a look in the mirror. Yeah, you are wearing the shoe...

Re: headlight harness upgrade thread update
yes those who have said this or that person is this or that. has their own opinion from their dealings with a certain person. i have not had a problem with paul. i have also not bought his relays because i wanted to try and make my own. because i wasn't sure i liked his. i was shocked about the way this has been presented. so i may have seemed to have produced a side for or against him. but this is none of my business. and i would like it to turn out good.
the owner of the site can only ban him. or try to contact him. if he isn't responding to his buyers. then he may not respond to the owner either. so there probably isn't much the owner can do.
as far as anyones reputation. you can only tell what they have done in the past. for anyone getting burned in a deal that can happen. blasting someone on a forum is not the right thing to do. in my opinion. and blasting them in 3 or 4 different threads. my god what are we going to do about tit either. we cant even ban him. that is how this news hit me. i was so shocked that it seemed as blast. if it would have been one thread it may not have hit me like that. and bashing my or may not have occurred.
what needs to be done in a situation like this is. to gather together everyone who has got burned. and make a report to the police. if the police isn't your thing. get a lawyer and sue him . the donation raffle thing is a matter for the law and or for the class action law suit that could also be filed. possibly separately from the other law suit. because some may not have done both the raffle and the buy it now thing.
a sellers failure to produce the products he sells in a timely matter is wrong. unless the seller had difficulties getting the items to his buyers. but you would think a seller would communicate more with his buyers about the problem.
i would have been doing something way before the last minute. or by the time it was too late. if my product had not been received in a a timely matter. so there is another place for failure. this time on the buyer.
now what needs to be done. gather up addresses phone numbers of the seller. keep them all in one place. each person who got burned probably has to make their own police report. so the sellers info will probably have to be shared to all concerned. if the police are unable to produce results a class action law suit by those concerned can probably be started. those seem to be the only methods to settle this. bashing someone or standing up for them is not what needs to be done. i guess i may have stood up for him over the shock of the multiple threads that i read. so i will no longer be putting an opinion in writing about this. get your selfs together. call each other make a web page or email each other to get the evidence needed to make the out come a happy one.
i would like to say that i feel for both sides here. but justice has to be done. i hope that i have helped justice come to those who will get it. if i have seemed to have been on one side or the other i am sorry. i probably should have tried to look at this in a different way. i couldn't because i was shocked. if there is anything i can do to help justice get served. let me know. otherwise. i may not comment about this again. thanks for listening to my explanations of how i felt in the beginning.

Re: headlight harness upgrade thread update
i have no knolwledge o f what jamie is talkign about. i have been on this forum since 2005. before jamie. but not more important than anyone else here. i am a singl emember. that is all. i would ask jamie to support his thread. with links to what jamie said abotu apul.Andy Man wrote:fordman wrote:there was no other thread where he did wrong. he just wasnt on the site for a while. and then he came back on the site sold some stuff. was in the middle of a divorce. and started selling the harnesses again.Andy Man wrote:Jamie, it is helpful that you stepped up, gave an opinion, an filled in some past, slippery history...
Before your post, I kinda fealt like wtf, looks like I got caught under a black cloud, I.ll just move on....
Now I am pissed off, and not only with Paul. When others questioned his reliability, voices chimed uo with oh he is a good guy, does quality work, you will not be disappointed and so on...No word of caution and no pointer to that last go around thread,,,which is where? I cannot find it.
That is interesting. I, in no way want to get into a pissing contest with anyone...only
because I have been around a short 3 months. I have no knowledge of anyone around here that
goes further back then those three months...BUT...In a post made by Jamie, before the one
that you quoted, he stated...
"My (unassociated with Fordification.com) personal opinion is this is a train wreck that's
been in progress for a while. Threads from the last go around had him vanish
for a while, appologise for not coming around, personal issues and all that for excuses.
" >SNIP<
So, which is it? He says yeah it was talked about...you say nah, we never talked about
it...So, which is it? If there is not a clear answer to 'this. Let's not go any further
with that. Way back I asked where is that thread... I got no reply other than yours.
I have decided to be very cautious in my future dealings with any forum seller. Too many
people here are making excuses for the guy, or downplaying the effect that his shady
behavior is having on the new members here. Look at the posts that have stepped up
and said, yeah, I got burned also. Most, if not all, of those people have one star under
their names.
I get it that you long timers here liked the guy. You have a history with him. So do the
short star members. Their history is that they are being burned by him. It is not helpful
to hear "life happens". Better if you all stop downplaying this really bad behavior. As I
am writing this, I realize how appalling some of the long time member comments about this
are.
Where did some of you guys lose your balls. You can't even support a new member who has
been burned without telling him, oh Paul is such a great guy. WTF...are you a bunch of
apologists incapable of facing reality. Paul took other people's money, said that he
ordered the parts and would ship soon. That was months ago. He is MIA and refuses to
respond in any way to members here. To paraphrase, he has said...GO F*** YOURSELVES.
From this point on, either help Bill W or keep your namby pamby bs to yourselves..
I was very happy here, withstanding Paul's deal. But, now, I am really disgusted by some of
your attitudes...
Oh yeah...If the shoe fits, most likely you already wear it..

Re: headlight harness upgrade thread update
Okay. Time out!!!
I've been watching this thread go from bad to worse.
I've dealt with Paul before, and my dealings were quite satisfactory.
Yes, he disappeared once before, during some stressful times that were due to family issues. I'm not aware that there was any money involved at that time. He, like any one of us is subject to, just needed time away from the forum and probably a lot of other things in his life. Backup and regroup. We've all done it. We'll probably all do it again at some point in time.
Prior to what's going on now, I've never heard anyone say anything at all bad about him.
With that being said, I'm kind of... no... let's make that REAL tired of hearing a handful of people bashing him without knowing the FULL story behind what's going on now. The only thing anyone knows FOR SURE is that they, themselves, have not been able to get in touch with Paul, a few have ordered harnesses which they haven't received, and no one knows whether or not the raffle was successful nor whether or not the money from the memorial fund was delivered. There may have been some who received harnesses as ordered, or the winner might have received the raffle prize. The memorial fund monies may also have been delivered. It may just be that others involved have not been on the forum, just as Paul has been absent. Realistically, no one can say for sure.
I am not defending what has happened up to this point. If there has, in fact, been a scam perpetrated, the proper way to deal with it is to go through the proper channels, those being either Paypal or law enforcement. No one affilliated with this forum can be held responsible for what has or has not happened, as this is a free forum, open to everyone. No one pays membership dues or is forced to donate in order to visit or post here. It's Keith's generosity that has kept it free and such a great place for so many years.
After all of the negativity in this thread, I wouldn't blame Paul if he never came back to this forum. If he has read the comments here, I'm sure he feels very much unwanted. I know I would feel that way. It's as if many of us have forgotten one of the principles that makes this country great; a man is innocent until proven guilty. Heck, some of you would have him hung and quartered already, and you have no idea what's going on with the situation!!!
With that being said, I refuse to tolerate members berating other members, especially without having a full complement of all of the facts. If the insults, negative remarks, and tempers can't be held in check, I will personally put a stop to it by doing something I've not had the displeasure of having to do, and that is to lock this topic.
That's just my

I stand by what I said, and the sticking it to others I meant applies to both sides of a issue. Get all the facts before jumping. I have had good dealings with Paul. Like I said, I hope this all works out for the good of all.Mancar1 wrote:I hope this all works out. I bought a set of bumper guards from him a while back and he treated me right. I guess I lucked out.
I wanted to buy raffle tickets, but Paul never responded to my PM.
Andy, I feel your pain, man. I think we've all been there.
I guess one could almost be grateful it was only $75 or so. I have been taken a lot worse.

Re: headlight harness upgrade thread update
I admit I skipped the last two pages of this ordeal and I did not buy from him BUT I remember several years ago there was something that happened about ( I think a new Mustang GT). Some worker at a Ford dealership took some customers car out for a joy ride and flogged the hell out of it. Ran it ragged, burned the tires off it etc and bragged about it online. All kinds of forums from the classics to the low riders got mad about it and ended up finding the guy and turning him in to the dealership and he ended up getting fired for it. Spread the word about the guy if that is what it takes. There are so many people on this one forum from so many different walks of life that we'd hit just about every forum out there and he would not have a hole to hide in
