Let me play devils advocate here, or angels advocate perhaps. Those who defended him where only going off what they knew in a relatively short period of time. Imagine for a moment that it was someone that you know and that person has given you good ethical service in the past. It would be difficult to accept that that same person is crooked on the onset of this incident. That is where the defenders are coming from. I have also been wronged by Paul and never had a good transaction in the past. I have not defended him and certainly don't condone his actions or lack thereof. But you will never see me getting cross with the other members here because of their opinions. Doing so is not only rude, it is not conducive to a postive atmosphere that this forum prides itself on.

We all understand your frustrations, but please keep your focus on what is important. Arguing with others on here will probably only hurt your cause and may lead to getting ostracized. I don't know what to do with the situation other then write off the money. If anyone else has some ideas I am all about hearing them. That is one of the risk of doing personal type business over the internet. Its not only risky but it is also a relatively new landscape for law enforcement to catch people who committ petty crimes.

No, that is what you did, not what it looks like you did. You painted the whole forum with a big nasty brush said you wanted to be "done with this place" and then came back to "throw some stuff against the wall and see what sticks". At least own it if you are going to do it.

Paul did what he did and there isn't much Keith or anyone else can do about it, I told everyone a long time ago what the involved folks needed to do to get it worked out and stirring the pot on the Internet isn't it.

Now you want me to tell you what "Says VOLUMES ABOUT THIS FORUM AND THE MEMBERS WITHIN" is that you didn't get a lot harder smack down than you did and none of us banned you and deleted your post.

Well, seeing some of the company you chose to keep sadly explains your actions but still is not an excuse for your tirade. Things sticking to the wall is a bad metaphor when you chose to alienate the whole forum. Seems a bad smell will be sticking with your name from now on...

The simple fact is you paid a man for something he didn't have. How does FTE deal with it? Do they use their advertising money to reimburse the affected parties or just delete the thread and ban the poor guy that posts?

Bill W wrote: so, let me say it this way, IF you are one of the members who stood up for this Ahole in the onset of this and then stood up for Paul when he came back here. well... you are the gullable people. the guy had no intentions of producing a harness for anyone here. Sure i am pissed off.... sure i think that more could have been done about this problem. <<<<<<<<i think i have given this every chance to turn out in a good way.>>>>>>>>>>>>now its time for other actions to take place
Well, shame the F on me for speaking for the guy who I actually paid money to on 3 different occasions, and received what I paid for on all 3 occasions. I also had previously purchased the wiring harness, received it, and it was well worth what I paid. Again, shame on me for speaking from MY EXPERIENCES with the guy. So I am gullable because I did not have the psychic powers to know that the guy was going to pull off the crap he pulled? Give me a break! If that is the case, then you are just as gullable for not knowing the same thing, and then even more so because you sent the idiot money on top of it. You sir, are calling out people that had nothing to do with what Paul did, and had no way of knowing that he was going to pull this crap. If we are guilty for trusting him, then so are you. Take a look in the mirror and quit throwing stones from a glass house. I might accept some flak thrown my way if I had just vouched for the guy without any experience to speak of, but everything I said each time was based on my experiences with the man. So how does that make me gullable? I understand being pissed off about the situation, and I would be too. But the crap you are slinging in all directions is uncalled for and then you act shocked when people take exception to it.

Do what you need to do legally and use your energy to go after him like you promised to do initially... No one is going to speak against that at this point. But the B.S. you are spewing out towards others is not going to help your cause at all regarding this matter.

Bill I understand your frustration by being out your $65 dollars but how many times have you spent more than that on another waste of money (casino, lottery tickets, movie theater, drinks at a bar, going out to dinner, etc) getting worked up about it does not do you or anyone else any good. You have legal recourse in this situation so use it and shut the heck up! I was mildly amused by your antics at first but now you are just being pathetic like every other Internet troll. You called everyone gullable but you sent someone you had never met $65 dollars on nothing more than a hope you would get what you paid for. I do not believe Paul set out to screw you but it happened and he has to deal with the consequences as do you. I have purchased hundreds of dollars in parts off of other members of this forum and with every transaction know what the risk was and believe that you do to, if you don't that is your problem. I think you have said your peace and now should leave well enough alone and go back to being a chapter president at your other forum and chalk this up to a lesson learned.

Wouldn't do any good. Can't see 'em anyway. Needs an upgraded headlight harness. Anybody know where he can get one? :hmm: But seriously, can we PUH-LEASE put this behind us? I'm out $65 too but you don't see me whining about it. I don't buy from evilbay unless the seller has a 99% seller rating and I've still been burned on a purchase. You buy off the internet, especially from a forum, you take the chance on getting shafted. If you can't afford to lose it, don't spend it. You want a guarantee, go to Walmart.

Bill sent me a PM last night...

I will tell you what happens when you screw someone on FTE.... YOU GET BANED! did anyone ban Paul? Eff no! ya all stuck up for the jack ass. i am so sick of this "what are we suposed to do about it"? Thats crap. I think you should BAN Paul from this site.... and while your at it lock me out too, because being here sucks

im out[/Bill]

Now thinking logically here, if we ban Paul we won't have a chance to ever hear from him again... If we ban Bill on the other hand he'll have no chance of recovering his harness (granted, if it ever get's made). Sounds like the basic jackleg FTE mentality, BANE EVERYONE :hmm:

Wow, this has really turned into bunch of crap that really doesn't belong here. It's cancers like these that bring down the overall positive atmosphere of websites like ours. One of the differences between Fordification and FTE is that we normally don't have this type of negative BS going on here. This stuff pisses me off. This really seems to be an excessive amount of whining over a measley $65.
It seems like everyone else that has a dog in this fight is willing to wait and see if Paul gets back on his feet and comes through with the harnesses.
Here's what I'm proposing:
For the sake of the website, if Bill PM's me with his address, I will send him the $65 to make his tears go away. (Think of it as a website donation).
If I send him the $65, the Mods here must ban Bill and dump this and any other thread pertaining to the headlight harnesses (including any future related threads, unless it's Paul coming through with the already-paid-for harnesses).
Bill, IMO, you lost your man card on this one by acting like a sniveling child. Take my offer and go play in another sandbox.

What say ye?
