Recommendation for 2 post lift

Post by twalsh357 »

I am looking at purchasing a 2 post lift for the home shop, so can any one recommend a brand? looking to spend in that 3k range, 10k lift capacity.
there are so many and cost are all over the place. Please remember this is a home shop not a full commercial shop, I am looking at only ALI cert. units.
Thanks for the help

I have a pro v 10,000 from Greg smith. It has worked good only wish I would have bought a 15,000 for the heavier truck I work on sometimes. But I never over loaded it. And they are easy to put up if you have some help and fork lift or tractor with loader.

I bought a Bend Pak 10,000 pound lift with asymetrical posts, and a clear floor. Been in my shop over 10 years, and no issues, except I had to replace the hydraulic lines last year.

I have a Forward 10k Asymmetrical lift. It is made by Rotary and is ALI certified. I’ve only had it a few months, but my brother has had his for about 3 years now and it has performed flawlessly.

I bought a Challenger two post lift and have been using it for a couple of years now. I am very happy with it.

It did cost a bit more as it is made in the USA which was important to me. Only three companies manufacture lifts in the USA that I know of; Challenger, Mohawk and Rotary. Both Rotary and Challenger sell a lower end Chinese line as well so watch out for that.

I bought a 10k Derek Weaver W Pro 10 in blue earlier this year. ALI certified and made by the same manufacturer as Forward and Rotary lifts. Best price on ALI certified lift I could find at the time. Installed it my self and DW’s customer service was excellent.
