70 Ranger XLT original bench seat upholstery pic needed

Post by chriscris »

Just curious if anyone has a picture of an original bench seat.
I think I found the correct green material and vinyl to make a new cover, but I am not certain of the design or if there are buttons or not.
The aftermarket one currently in my truck is too dark a green and no buttons.

Thanks very much
Chris

Been Googling for the past hour trying to find a photo of an original unmolested Ranger XLT with no luck. I see a lot of trucks but none that advertise "original interior". With that said I did find replacement upholstery marketed as correct. https://www.cjponyparts.com/bench-seat- ... 3QQAvD_BwE Saw similar at other vendors.

Thanks. I saw that one as well as one with one central button/medallion.
Just wanted to be as correct as I can.

Hey Chris,

I'd love to see a picture of the '70 Boss 302 Mustang if you have one available. I came within a gnats ass of getting one in the mid 80's but the guy had just sold it. He said the engine was blown but come to find out it was only a bent valve.

Thanks

This is the one in my son's '70 Ranger XLT (color scheme - boxwood green on wimbledon white):

Link to bigger pic.

If that's the one you are looking for (dark green with lighter inserts) I can get you better pics when I get home. This is all I have on my phone atm.

Thanks for the help. Do the fabric parts go right up over the backrest?
Also looking for a closeup of the medallion/button.

No, the fabric parts stop at the top and do not wrap over:

I'll get you a closeup of the medallion tonight.

Actually I got my son to take a couple of pics, so here you go:

Full size pic.

If you need more angles or something, tell me.

BTW, that's probably not very comfortable for the person stuck in the middle.

Chris, where did you find the material, if you don’t mind me asking?
