Good progress! I don't think there will be to many people with the same interior.

Thanks folks! Here's a pic of the seat installed. I wish I could find an original red steering wheel, I'm replacing the old worn one with a repro black one...

Re: Alan's 1967 Shortbed Stepside 4WD
I bought the seatbelt kits from LMC. I've really tried not to use their stuff whenever possible, but my daughters will ride in this so I want 3 point belts.

Thanks. Looks like the belts fit in there nicely, and belong there.
I want 3 point belts too, for the added safety.

Re: Alan's 1967 Shortbed Stepside 4WD
A bit of progress: Bed came out to do the exhaust, wheels came back from powder so it's close: hub rebuild and trim and the dash, a bit more assembly shocks, etc. and it's done!

Re: Alan's 1967 Shortbed Stepside 4WD
the exhaust was bent/fabbed by a local shop. It's 304 stainless 16 gauge, with AP T304 stainless mufflers. This is a 4.9L, but I did put a ceramic-coated header on it that feeds 2 pipes, so I went with the dual pipes, but bent towards the ground at the end, I actually don't want them poking out, this isn't a hotrod after all. This isn't a cheap exhaust as it is meant to last forever, so I've got close to $600 in it!
The hangers are from good old Amazon, they are Walkers https://www.amazon.com/Walker-36516-Uni ... 2Y6H7DTDVY
The spare carrier is the original, as are the wheels but I put oversized tires on, so I can barely slide paper between the spare and the fender cut-out. The bracket is gonna have to be modified to move everything up 1/2 inch, so that'll take a small bit of figuring. i found some grade 8 Ubolts to go on the rear leafs, I'm trying to do everything I can grade 8 to limit corrosion. I have a repro black steering wheel, but I'm going to try paint and many layers of clear to see if I can get the original red wheel looking right and up to snuff in terms of usability.
****If anyone knows anybody with an original red dash pad in good shape I'd be forever indebted and probably lend you my truck my wife or my girlfriend*** In all seriousness please let me know!
