Maybe so! It doesn't leave Folsom much though. I take the light rail to school, and work down the street. If you plan on going by Folsom anytime let me know and we can meet up.
Spent 2 days doing body work on the hood with a buddy. It was miserable. Donor hood had some bruises that that soaked up some serious man hours to get straight again, along with welding up trim holes. It's now ready for paint, and i'm spraying it tomorrow. Can't wait to have the hood on!
Also got a steel instrument cluster shell from a fellow member for a good deal, and proceeded to butcher it up and add some bling bling. Just need to cram the autometer gauges in it now. Missing a couple that i need to collect first, though.
Will have 6 gauges i believe. No speedometer (or tach). Just stuff i care to monitor. GPS will do speedo work.

Love the project and the updates.
Do you know what kind of mileage you're getting with the Cummins?

Still have not the slighest clue on mileage. no odometer, so i haven't bothered to check being that it would be pretty difficult to calculate every single place i go. I'll do it with a gps sometime...
yeah, photobucket is absolutely terrible now. They dropped the bandwith limit big time. Too bad, because it would take 20 years to replace all the photos in this thread. I've started using flickr lately.

Great looking truck, I wouldn't have built it any different myself.

Re: 1969 F250 4x4 Highboy 10/13 Trail run
Thanks fellas!
I roasted the yoke/driveline on a gnarly section of rocks while on that trail (walked right up it a few years ago, when the truck was less built... but the wet rock killed me this time) and it took out the rear ujoint. Didn't notice till i got to pavement in the mountains after the trail. Ujoint was missing a cap! Dropped the driveline and locked the hubs. Drove and hour and a half home on the front driveline i made. 65MPH and no vibration out of my monster 1/4" wall front driveline haha.
Swapped the ujoint today. Turns out the rock i was on simply broke one of the nubs off the yoke that keeps the caps on the ujoint, allowing the cap to slide out and it was downhill from there.

Yeah! Do THAT with one of the new design vehicles. Love the old school technology. Great truck!1971ford wrote: Didn't notice till i got to pavement in the mountains after the trail.
