this happened too me earlier this spring or last fall. i dont remember exactly when. but i have never seen a tire do this in such a grand manner. i wondered why the truck started shaking all of the sudden. got it changed and back down the highway i went.strange bad tire

WOW!! You're lucky the tire didn't blow. What brand and how old? Tires have always been an evolving product on vehicles. Once a type is "perfected", a cheaper or better type comes along. The whole process starts again. Think about the abuse a tire takes and marvel that if your lucky we can get 60k to 70k off of a set.
