What are the best overall sites for buying parts? Points like Price, Quality, Promptness of shipment, price of shipment.

NPD gets my vote for best / then DC for a real close second / with LMC coming in third (or last depending on how much you like china parts).

Also heard that Tom, (one of our members here) is another good source to deal with:

:yt: and in case you haven't found it yet, here's the links/resources page for many more http://www.fordification.com/links.htm I've bought from DC, Mac's, Green Sales and these guys http://millerobsoleteparts.net/ All have been very helpful, had good parts, and shipping was fast and reasonably priced. For aftermarket/performance parts I'm partial to Summit Racing. They've also been great. I've also bought from a variety of specialty companys and several NOS places located through parts locator websites and I have hundreds more bookmarked for future reference. Always check your local parts stores first though. I've spent a lot more in shipping costs than I really needed to because I just assumed it wouldn't be available there only to find out it was and they'd have it shipped there for free. One thing that I like to do is, while my wife is grocery shopping, hit the magazine rack and browse a copy of some hot rod/restomod magazines and write down all the websites that advertise in them. Most importantly, have fun!

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/OFY-6227C/ and 2 barrel carb. Not sure what carb will fit though. Might need an adapter. One of the I6 guys could point you in the right direction.

Never had any issues with LMC and also, has the best prices....I don't mind if it comes from China, India or South America, as long as it fits well and my pockets are not hurt, i'm happy.

Good day Vonburger,

I agree with Jeff and Randy--NPD and Green Sales get my top votes.

Green Sales often has NOS parts at surprisingly cheap prices, and NPD has the best average combination of price/service/shipping that I've found. Dennis Carpenter is also good, though they can be a little more expensive.

Note that sometimes, NPD sells Dennis Carpenter parts at lower prices than Dennis Carpenter sells direct for.

Thanks for your advice robroy,
I checked out NPD but haven't ordered anything yet, still price comparing.
Still have yet to check out DC.

Yeah, that is odd. I checked DC for a passenger side floor pan and it was $60. Bought it from NPD for $39.95. Nothing on it said DC but I did notice that it had the same part number/id sticker (except the -R) on it as the driver's side that came from DC.
