Re: Insulation between inner and outer fenders: which type?
Good day Bjde0b,
I'm not sure about all the places it goes, but the factory used it (or something almost exactly like it) between the inner and outer fenders, and I think that's a basically a metal-to-metal place. The metal's painted, but there are two metal body panels touching there.
Perhaps I've misunderstood your question?

I actually tracked this down on another one of your posts.
I will also place it on the transmission hump. So fenders and transmission hump.
$200 shipped cab bolt kit, caulk and 2 dozen 5/16 j bolts.

i dont think the hump cover and inner fender stuff is the same stuff. the inner fender stuff seems to be more of the rope caulk type of stuff. and the hump cover seems to be still very sticky and gooy after all these years.
